DUSSEHRA - A FESTIVAL OF HINDUS Dussehra is also known as " Vijayadashami" , which means the victory of good over evil. As we all know that there are many festivals in India. There are festivals in every month and each festival has its own importance and the story behind it. Dussehra also has a story which is as follows: - In 14 years of exile, Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and Lord Lakshman were living in a hut in a forest. One day Sita saw a deer and she wanted to take it, but it was not found, she called her husband and said that she wanted the deer to be brought here for him. Lord Rama was also going with Lord Rama. Laxman drew a line around the hut and asked him not to cross the line. A deer illusion was created by Ravana to kidnap Sita and marry her. Ravana was the king of Lanka.
